The performance describes the path of a traveler (future master) who crosses the Sacred Way in order to reach Elefsina. On the way she/he encounters figures from the Homeric Hymn in Demeter, from the Orphic hymns, from Sacred Way by Angelos Sikelianou, as well as the visions and themes by Dimitris Papaditsa and Eleni Ladia.
The performance also highlights the need of modern man to discover the dimension of the "Sacred Road" on a philosophical, historical level but also its modern reality.
The different dance techniques (butoh dance, contemporary dance and improvisation) along with musical compositions, idiosyncratic instruments and electronic music, combined with the contemporary video , help make the show bridge the gap between the ancient, traditional and modern world, thus giving a timeless and ecumenical dimension to the "Sacred Way".
